The eclectic end-of-summer rock festival in Verdun
À L'Arrache Festival is an eclectic music festival organized every late summer in Verdun, in the courtyard of the Margueritte high school, Vauban site. Created in 2022 by the association La Fabrik Artistique, this event offers two evenings of concerts mixing rock, dub, hip-hop, metal, reggae, and blues. The festival highlights artists from the Grand Est region and features photo exhibitions, local food, and beers from the Meuse region.
Created in 2022 by the association La Fabrik Artistique, the À L'Arrache festival is the result of the passion of a collective of Verdun volunteers for live music and alternative culture. In just a few editions, the event has established itself as a must-attend end-of-summer gathering in the Meuse region, attracting an ever-growing audience to the historic courtyard of the Margueritte high school.
The festival unfolds over two evenings, Friday and Saturday, with a resolutely eclectic program. Each evening, four to five bands perform on the main stage, while a second stage called "Le Phare Meusien" hosts an additional band. The musical genres represented are highly diverse: rock, dub, hip-hop, trip rock, progressive rock, French chanson, metal, reggae, stoner, psychedelic rock, and blues.
The festival favors a lineup mixing regional artists from the Grand Est and national bands. The 2025 edition notably featured Mickaël Clément & l'Orchestre Sensation, New Caledonia, Kelly Got a Gun, The One Armed Man, LMZG, Rosie, Antechaos, Dudes Of Groove Society, and The Celtic Tramps, demonstrating the richness and variety of the musical selection.
The festival takes place in the courtyard of the Margueritte high school, Vauban site, a place steeped in history in the heart of Verdun. This exceptional architectural setting, a legacy of Vauban's fortifications, gives the event a unique atmosphere, blending heritage and modernity.

Festival-goers can also enjoy local catering featuring products from the Meuse region, craft beers from the Meuse, and various artisan stalls.
