A unique dance festival in the Loire

The festival Alors on Danse ! was born in 2026 from an unprecedented initiative: twenty broadcasting and creation structures in the Loire department joined forces to create an event dedicated to dance and choreographic artists. This territorial collaboration demonstrates the cultural vitality of the Loire and the commitment of its stakeholders to dance in all its forms.

A rich and eclectic program

For more than two weeks, the festival offers around thirty shows spread across several towns in the department, providing the public with an exceptional panorama of current choreographic creation:

• Contemporary dance: bold and innovative pieces by recognized and emerging companies
• Hip-hop: energy and virtuosity with shows combining dance and theater
• Multidisciplinary creations: shows that create a dialogue between dance and live music, circus, slam, and visual arts
• Dance and folklore: performances that revisit traditions with a contemporary perspective
• Young audience and family shows: creations adapted for all ages to share the joy of dance together

In Saint-Chamond: the Salle Aristide Briand

In Saint-Chamond, the festival takes over the Salle Aristide Briand, the town's emblematic performance venue, which can accommodate up to 1,200 spectators. Among the highlights offered in Saint-Chamond are the show "Love" by the compagnie Voltaïk, a blend of contemporary dance and folklore in a sensitive and captivating creation, as well as dance-theater and hip-hop performances that showcase the diversity of the program.

A spirit of sharing and celebration

Beyond the shows, Alors on Danse ! aims to be a moment of sharing and conviviality. The festival invites the public to discover dance in various venues – performance halls, theaters, open-air spaces – and offers meetings with artists, practical workshops open to all, and festive moments centered around dance. The goal is to make dance accessible to as many people as possible and to create new gathering spaces around choreographic art.

A network of cultural partners

The festival brings together an exceptional network of cultural structures in the Loire, including municipal theaters, MJCs, conventioned stages, cultural centers, and dance companies. Among the partners are the Théâtre du Parc, the Théâtre de Roanne, the city of Saint-Chamond, and Saint-Étienne Métropole. This territorial synergy allows for a high-quality program across the entire department and reaches diverse audiences.
