Bénév'en Fête

A new association to perpetuate the festival

Bénév'en Fête was born from the desire of local residents and community members to perpetuate the festive spirit of the Saint-Barthélemy in Bénévent-l'Abbaye. After the historic Moutonnades ceased, this new association took up the torch to organize a weekend of popular celebration on the third weekend of August, keeping alive the summer tradition of this small town of character in Creuse.

A rich and varied program

The Bénév'en Fête program spans three days. On Friday evening, a café-concert at the local bar kicks off the festivities in a relaxed atmosphere. Saturday is marked by a traditional flea market, concerts in the evening, a MTB trail, and fireworks that light up the Bénévent sky. Sunday offers a producers' market, an 11 km trail, hikes in the countryside, and cultural performances.

Tastings and conviviality

True to the gastronomic tradition of Bénévent-l'Abbaye, the festival highlights Bénéventine specialties and local products from Creuse. Sunday's producers' market brings together local artisans and producers, offering visitors the opportunity to discover and purchase authentic products. Conviviality is at the heart of this event, which brings together residents, visitors, and lovers of Creuse for moments of sharing and celebration.
