Open-air theatre festival in the city center of Bergerac
Created in 2022, Bergerac en Scène is the theatre festival of the City of Bergerac. Every first weekend of June, the city center transforms into a vast stage hosting dozens of performances in various locations: halls, squares, and streets of the city.
The program mixes classical theatre, contemporary theatre, improvisation, forum theatre, and immersive theatre. On Saturday mornings, free street performances and parades surprise passers-by with festive animations throughout the city. Workshops complete the program for amateurs of all ages.
With a system of day or weekend passes at a modest price, the festival makes theatre accessible to the greatest number. The pass grants access to all performances of the chosen day or weekend.
The 5th edition of Bergerac en Scène will take place from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14, 2026 in the historic center of Bergerac. Three days of open-air theater with 23 professional and amateur companies, 40 performances on 10 ephemeral stages, and 21 free activities.
