Engaged festival of music and ecological transition in Vercors
The Bien l'Bourgeon Festival is a committed festival on ecological transition issues in rural areas, organized by the association Mix'Arts in Gresse-en-Vercors, at the foot of the Grand Veymont. Each edition explores an environmental theme through eclectic evening concerts (rap, punk, world sound, electro, pop), gestured conferences, documentary screenings, round tables, and an associative village during the day, all at a free price. A citizen, sustainable, and unifying event in the heart of Trièves.
Nestled at the foot of the majestic Grand Veymont, the highest point of Vercors, the Bien l'Bourgeon Festival is much more than just a musical event: it is a true citizen, sustainable, and unifying project carried by the Grenoble-based association Mix'Arts. Since its creation in 2017, this committed festival has explored the challenges of ecological transition in rural areas each year, combining culture, reflection, and conviviality in an exceptional natural setting.
The festival evenings offer a rich and diverse musical program, featuring rap, punk, world sound, electro, pop, French chanson, trance, and world music. Among the artists who have graced the Bien l'Bourgeon stage are names like Acid Arab, Kery James, Oxmo Puccino, Les Wampas, Les Fatals Picards, Hilight Tribe, Zoufris Maracas, Luiza, and Benin International Musical. Each edition offers three evenings of concerts accessible by reservation, with particular attention paid to the diversity of genres and artistic origins.
What sets Bien l'Bourgeon apart from other festivals is its committed daytime program, entirely accessible at a free price. Each edition focuses on a strong environmental theme:
In 2025, the theme was the media and their coverage of political news and ecological issues. In 2026, it is the forest that takes center stage: sharing of uses, biodiversity, and living together.
After several editions in Saint-Geoire-en-Valdaine, the festival settled in Gresse-en-Vercors in 2025, in the heart of Trièves, to take advantage of a striking mountain setting and meet its growing logistical needs. The festival plays an essential role in the economic and social dynamism of the territory, by forging partnerships with local businesses for catering, accommodation, and services. Ecological commitment is at the heart of this approach: carpooling encouraged, organic and local catering, dry toilets, responsible waste management.
Driven by a team of passionate volunteers, the festival cultivates a spirit of openness and solidarity. The free daytime program ensures access to culture for all, while the evening concerts, at affordable prices, contribute to financing the event. The association Mix'Arts, founded in Grenoble, has defended a vision of culture as a lever for social and ecological transformation since its beginnings.
9th edition of the Bien l'Bourgeon Festival in Gresse-en-Vercors, from July 3 to 5, 2026. Three days of concerts, conferences, and activities around the theme of the forest: sharing of uses, biodiversity, and living together, in an exceptional mountain setting.
For its 9th edition, the Bien l'Bourgeon Festival changes season and will take place from July 3 to 5, 2026 in Gresse-en-Vercors, to fully enjoy the mountain setting under the summer sun. The chosen theme for this edition is the forest: between sharing of uses, biodiversity, and living together, a subject at the heart of the concerns of the Vercors territory.
The three evenings of concerts promise an intense and eclectic musical journey:
Friday, July 3: rapper Kery James shares the bill with Vin's (rap), Twende Pamoja (electro hip-hop singeli), and Pö (afro electro DJ set), before the return of Acid Arab for an oriental techno DJ set.
Saturday, July 4: an evening of rock and punk chanson with Les Fatals Picards, Les Wampas, Verdée (organic electro chanson), Anaïs Rosso (blues pop), Planète Boum Boum (electro chanson), and Vulves Assassines (electro punk).
Sunday, July 5: rapper Oxmo Puccino will be alongside Mariam (who sings Amadou et Mariam), Shubiao Quartet (Mongolian trance express), Elsa Forêt (folk chanson), and Messkla (afro tropical DJ set).
During the day, the festival offers a rich program accessible at a free price: ornithological and nature walks in the surrounding forests, gestured conferences, film screenings, an associative village, and live performances. A total immersion in the heart of nature and ecological reflection.
The festival takes place at Route du Grand-Veymont, 38650 Gresse-en-Vercors, in the heart of the Vercors massif, in Trièves (Isère).
The festival is accessible to people with reduced mobility: reserved parking spaces at the entrance, PRM dry toilets, drop-off point.
