Since 2015, Bilurfest' has transformed Bouloire every June into a popular, free, and open-to-all celebration. Born from the passion of a handful of volunteers who love music and conviviality, this festival has become, in a decade, an unmissable event on the Sarthe cultural scene.

A World and Festive Program

Bilurfest' stands out with a resolutely eclectic and festive program, navigating between world music, guinguette, committed French chanson, and mixed sonorities:

• World music: international collectives that blend hip-hop, cumbia, reggae, and Latin sounds
• Guinguette and chanson: festive groups with guinguette, musette, and popular chanson accents
• Committed French chanson: artists carrying social and poetic messages
• Improvisation and show: interactive theatrical performances
• DJ sets: DJ collectives to extend the party until the end of the night

2025 Anniversary Edition: 10 Years of Bilurfest'

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, Bilurfest' celebrated its 10th anniversary with an exceptional program: Sidi Wacho (hip-hop, cumbia, and world music), Ton Zinc (festive, guinguette, and rock), Bob's Not Dead (committed French chanson), L'Improshow Rapproché de Dalseem (theatrical improvisation), and Bootleggers United (DJ collective).

A New Setting: The Courtyard of the Épidaure Theatre

For its 2026 edition, Bilurfest' takes over the courtyard of the Épidaure Theatre, right in the heart of Bouloire. This theatre, housed in a former hospice, offers an intimate and warm setting for an open-air music evening. Bouloire, a small rural commune in eastern Sarthe located between Le Mans and Saint-Calais, benefits from a particularly dynamic associative life, of which Bilurfest' is one of the finest examples.

A Festival Rooted in its Territory

Bilurfest' embodies a certain idea of celebration in a rural environment: free, accessible, convivial, and high-quality. By offering a demanding program, the organizers prove that culture does not need vast resources to create great moments. A refreshment bar and varied catering are provided on site.
