Bilurfest': Ten Years of Celebration at the Château de Bouloire

Since 2015, Bilurfest' has transformed the meadow of the Château de Bouloire into a popular, free, and open-to-all celebration spot every June. Born from the passion of a handful of volunteers who love music and conviviality, this festival has become, in a decade, an unmissable event on the Sarthe cultural scene.

A World and Festive Program

Bilurfest' stands out for its resolutely eclectic and festive program, navigating between world music, guinguette, committed French chanson, and mixed sounds:

• World Music: International collectives mixing hip-hop, cumbia, reggae, and Latin sounds
• Guinguette and Chanson: Festive bands with guinguette, musette, and popular chanson influences
• Committed French Chanson: Artists carrying social and poetic messages
• Improvisation and Performance: Interactive theatrical performances to surprise the audience
• DJ Sets: DJ collectives to keep the party going all night long

Anniversary Edition 2025: 10 Years of Bilurfest'

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, Bilurfest' celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special edition and an exceptional lineup: Sidi Wacho (Franco-Chilean collective mixing hip-hop, cumbia, and world music), Ton Zinc (festive band with guinguette and rock sounds), Bob's Not Dead (committed French chanson), L'Improshow Rapproché de Dalseem (interactive theatrical improvisation), and Bootleggers United (DJ collective). Activities from 2 p.m., concerts from 7 p.m.

The Château de Bouloire: A Bucolic Setting

The meadow of the Château de Bouloire offers a charming and enchanting rural setting for the festival. This green park, at the foot of the castle, provides a perfect natural backdrop for a day of open-air music. Bouloire, a small rural commune in eastern Sarthe located between Le Mans and Saint-Calais, benefits from a particularly dynamic associative life, of which Bilurfest' is one of the finest examples.
