Crafts, entertainment, and delicacies in the spa town
The Bourbonne-les-Bains Christmas Market is organized annually by the Union of Traders Bourbonn'Eco in this spa town in Haute-Marne. For a weekend in late November, the Salle du Clocheton hosts numerous exhibitors offering handmade creations, gift ideas, and local products. Visitors can enjoy various activities: concerts, carriage rides, meeting Santa Claus, and a carousel for children. A refreshment stand and waffles complete this friendly and free event.
Each year, as the end-of-year holidays approach, the town of Bourbonne-les-Bains — the only spa town in Champagne-Ardenne — adorns itself in its finest attire to host its Christmas Market. Organized by the traders' association Bourbonn'Eco, this warm event brings together locals, spa guests, and visitors around the magic of Christmas in a remarkable heritage setting.
The market takes place at the Salle du Clocheton, a former 18th-century military hospital converted into a cultural and festive space. Located in the heart of the town, on Rue Amiral Pierre, this building of character offers an authentic and welcoming setting for exhibitors and visitors. The surroundings of the Clocheton are transformed into a real Christmas village, with stands set up both indoors and outdoors.
Numerous exhibitors set up at the market to offer a wide range of handmade creations and local products. You'll find handmade Christmas decorations, jewelry, wooden objects, candles, textiles, ceramics, and many other original gift ideas. Local producers present their specialties: honey, jams, foie gras, chocolates, gingerbread, and seasonal treats that will delight lovers of authentic flavors.
The Bourbonne-les-Bains Christmas Market is not just about shopping: it's a true family event punctuated by various activities throughout the weekend:
Enjoying the Christmas Market is also an opportunity to discover Bourbonne-les-Bains and its exceptional heritage. The town, known since antiquity for its thermal waters gushing at 66°C, houses a rich architectural heritage: the castle park with its ancient trees, Gallo-Roman remains, the museum of popular arts and traditions, and the casino. In December, the Christmas illuminations give the spa town a particularly magical atmosphere, ideal for a weekend of relaxation and festivities.
The 2026 Bourbonne-les-Bains Christmas Market is expected at the end of November at the Salle du Clocheton. Artisans, local producers, musical entertainment, carriage rides, Santa Claus, and a carousel will be present for this festive weekend in the heart of the Haute-Marne spa town.
The 2026 edition of the Bourbonne-les-Bains Christmas Market will be held on November 28th and 29th at the Salle du Clocheton.
