Festival du Rire: Humor takes over Bourbonne-les-Bains
Each year, the charming spa town of Bourbonne-les-Bains, nestled in the south of Haute-Marne, transforms into the capital of laughter for a festive and offbeat weekend. The Festival du Rire takes over the Casino JOA performance hall, an emblematic venue in the town with a capacity of 250 seats, to offer a rich program mixing one-man shows, comedy performances, stand-up, and sketches.
A program that celebrates humor in all its forms
The festival highlights the diversity of contemporary comedy. From impactful one-man shows to incisive stand-up routines, as well as more classic comedy performances, each edition offers a complete panorama of the French comedy scene. Invited artists take turns on stage to offer the audience moments of laughter and emotion, in the warm intimacy of the casino hall.
Established artists and emerging talents
The Festival du Rire's program combines comedians recognized by the general public with young talents from the comedy scene. This desire to mix generations and styles allows spectators to discover new voices in humor while reconnecting with artists they appreciate. Previous editions have hosted comedians and humorists from all over France, confirming the festival's growing influence.
An exceptional setting in the heart of the spa town
The Casino JOA of Bourbonne-les-Bains, located in the heart of the thermal park, provides an ideal setting for this festival. Its intimate and comfortable performance hall allows for a unique proximity between artists and the audience. The casino also offers a restaurant, the Comptoir JOA, with its terrace overlooking the park gardens, offering the possibility to extend the evening with a dinner show or a drink with friends after the performances.
A unifying event for the region
Beyond entertainment, the Festival du Rire contributes to the tourist and cultural appeal of Bourbonne-les-Bains and Haute-Marne. By attracting visitors from all over the Grand Est region and beyond, it participates in the economic dynamism of this historic spa town. The festival is part of a varied cultural program offered by the casino throughout the year, including dinner shows, film screenings, and various festive events.
An accessible and friendly festival
The Festival du Rire aims to be an event open to all, accessible both in its prices and the diversity of its programming. The shows are suitable for a wide audience, from fans of subtle humor to lovers of more popular comedy.
