About Case Pastel
Case Pastel is a Toulouse festival dedicated to independent comics and illustration, organized at La Passerelle Negreneys, in the Minimes district of Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). Launched in May 2025 by Toulouse publishers Clovis Salvat (Doryphores Éditions) and Octave Ly (Du noir sous les ongles), it celebrates the local comic book ecosystem: independent publishing houses, author collectives, committed bookstores, and regional illustrators.
The name "Case Pastel" combines "case" (panel), an essential element of comic book language, with the emblematic color of Toulouse — pastel — to anchor the festival in the "pink city". In 2026, the 2nd edition will be held on Sunday, June 7, and will host about thirty exhibitors, double the number of the first edition.
A festival born from a local need
Case Pastel was born in 2025 from a shared observation by two Toulouse publishers: since the disappearance of the Indélébile Festival seven years earlier, Toulouse lacked an event dedicated to local comic books. Clovis Salvat (Doryphores Éditions, co-founder of Raion Éditions) and Octave Ly (Du noir sous les ongles) then envisioned a demanding, friendly, and deeply rooted event in its territory, designed to highlight the Toulouse comic book scene and the ecosystem of independent publishers, collectives, and booksellers that keeps it alive.
An event at La Passerelle Negreneys
The festival is held at La Passerelle Negreneys, a cultural space located at 38 rue des Anges, a five-minute walk from the Minimes Claude Nougaro metro station. The atypical and friendly venue welcomes exhibitors for a full day of activities and meetings. Admission is free.
The 2026 edition: a rise in power
After a first edition in May 2025 which brought together about fifteen exhibitors, Case Pastel #2 doubles its program and welcomes about thirty structures: independent publishing houses (Doryphores, Du noir sous les ongles, Huber Éditions, Raion Éditions, Misma, Les Mondes invisibles), author collectives (Salade Suprême, Print Club, Barbastella), bookstores (Le Chameau Sauvage) and guest authors (M'sieur le Prof, Just Loui, Gorobei).
An annual vocation
The organizers wish to establish Case Pastel long-term as an annual Toulouse event for independent comics, following the model of other cultural festivals in the city. Free admission, conviviality, and support for local creation remain at the heart of the project.

Case Pastel #2 — Sunday, June 7, 2026
After a successful first edition in May 2025, Case Pastel returns for a second edition at La Passerelle Negreneys, in the Minimes district of Toulouse. The day will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 10 AM to 6 PM, with free admission.
A Doubled Program
The 2026 edition marks a significant increase in scale: the announced thirty exhibitors almost doubles the fifteen from the first edition. The organizers even had to refuse additional applications.
