Circuit de Charade: The Automotive Legend in the Heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes
The Circuit de Charade, laid out on the slopes of the Chaîne des Puys volcanoes in Saint-Genès-Champanelle, is one of France's most legendary car racing circuits. A former Formula 1 track, this 3.975 km circuit hosts a season rich in automotive and motorcycle events each year, attracting tens of thousands of motorsport enthusiasts.
The Charade Super Show: The Flagship Event
The Charade Super Show is the unmissable event of the season. For one weekend in June, the circuit comes alive with demonstrations of exceptional vehicles: single-seaters, prototypes, GT cars, racing motorcycles, and legendary vehicles. Spectators can watch track sessions, car and motorcycle parades, as well as aerial acrobatics shows performed by professional pilots.
On Saturday evening, a concert is held within the circuit grounds, included with the day's entry ticket. The 2025 edition notably featured the band Ofenbach. An entertainment village in the paddocks offers interactive activities, exhibitions, and driver meet-and-greets.
The Charade Classic: Free Monthly Gatherings
From April to October, the Charade Classic events are free monthly gatherings that bring together hundreds of collector and prestige vehicles around various themes: pre-war cars, supercars, off-road vehicles, and celebrations of iconic models. Each event features a different theme, such as the celebration of the Golf GTI's 50th anniversary or Mercedes-Benz's 100th anniversary.

The circuit also hosts top-level automotive competitions:
- Historic Tour: a round of the French Championship of Historic Circuits
- Fun Cup: an endurance race of prepared Beetle cars
- Trophées d'Auvergne by MRL: a gathering of exceptional vehicles
A Circuit Steeped in History
The Circuit de Charade hosted four French Formula 1 Grands Prix (1965, 1969, 1970, 1972) on its original 8.055 km layout, considered one of the most beautiful and dangerous in the world. The current 3.975 km track, inaugurated in 1989, continues the tradition of automotive excellence in an exceptional natural setting, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Chaîne des Puys.
Charade Super Show — edition 2026
Charade Super Show 2026, 5th edition, on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, 2026 at the Circuit de Charade in Saint-Genès-Champanelle. A weekend of automobile and motorcycle demonstrations, ASAVE competition grids, track baptisms, family entertainment, and a Bakermat concert on Saturday evening.
Charade Super Show 2026 — 5th edition
The Charade Super Show returns on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, 2026 for its 5th edition on the legendary Circuit de Charade. From 9 AM to 7 PM each day, the circuit will host exceptional cars and motorcycles: single-seaters, prototypes, GTs, sports sedans, and historic motorcycles will take to the track for runs, parades, and demonstrations.
Expected Drivers and Personalities
The 2026 edition brings together several big names in motorsport for autograph sessions and podium speeches:
- Jacky Ickx — Belgian endurance legend, present on Sunday, June 21
- Bruno Saby — rally specialist (WRC, Paris-Dakar)
- Ari Vatanen — World Rally Champion
- Franck Montagny — former Formula 1 and endurance driver
- Gérard Larrousse — winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Saturday Evening Concert
On the evening of Saturday, June 20, Bakermat, a Dutch DJ and producer known for his blend of house, deep house, and jazzy influences, will perform a concert within the circuit grounds. The event coincides with the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival). The concert is included in Saturday day tickets and weekend tickets.

- All day — Entertainment village in the paddocks: games, trampolines, rides, exhibitions, souvenir shops, catering
- 7 PM — End of on-track activities
- 8:30 PM — Concert by Bakermat (Dutch DJ/producer, house / deep house / jazzy) within the circuit grounds. Included in Saturday day ticket and weekend ticket. Coincides with the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival).
