Since its creation in 2014 under the name Japan Event, the Clermont Geek Convention has established itself as the unmissable event for geek and pop culture in Auvergne. Organized annually in March at the Grande Halle d'Auvergne in Cournon-d'Auvergne, the convention attracts thousands of visitors passionate about manga, comics, video games, cinema, science fiction, and cosplay.

A rich and diverse program

The Clermont Geek Convention offers a dense program over two days:

• Guests and signings: voice actors, content creators, manga and comic authors meet the public for signing sessions and exchanges.
• E-sport tournaments: video game competitions bring together players of all levels.
• Retro-gaming: a space dedicated to vintage consoles and arcade games.
• Cosplay contest: participants compete in creativity with spectacular costumes, judged by a jury of experts.

Prestigious guests

Each edition hosts renowned guests. In 2026, the convention will highlight French dubbing and Korean culture with guests such as Christophe Lemoine (French voice of Cartman in South Park and Sam in The Lord of the Rings), Adrien Antoine (voice of Thor and Superman) and Maïk Darah (voice of Monica in Friends and Shenzi in The Lion King).
