The 41st edition of the Comédie du Livre - 10 jours en mai took place from May 15 to 24, 2026, in Montpellier (Hérault). Organized by Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole under the literary direction of Régis Penalva, this free event is one of the major literary highlights of the festival season in Occitanie.
Nearly 200 encounters and 220 free literary moments: meetings, readings, shows, round tables, performances, and youth workshops. Among the guests: Gisèle Pelicot, Laurent Mauvignier, Nathacha Appanah, Ukrainian writer Sofia Andrukhovych, Palestinian poet Elias Sanbar, a carte blanche to Salomé Saqué, as well as the presentation of the Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire. All activities are free and do not require reservations (excluding cinema screenings).
