About Coué Method Congress
The Coué Method Congress brings together researchers, practitioners, and enthusiasts in Nancy to explore the conscious autosuggestion technique developed by local pharmacist Émile Coué in the early 20th century. The event is organized by the association "Sur les pas de Coué" in collaboration with Luc Teyssier d'Orfeuil, who co-organized the first two international editions in 2011 and 2017.
The gathering bridges the gap between Coué's original philosophy and its contemporary applications, including positive psychology, mental preparation, and coaching. It serves as a highlight of the "Coué Year" 2026, which marks the centenary of the pharmacist's passing.
Coué Method Congress — edition 2026
For its third edition, the congress will be held on November 6th and 7th, 2026, at the Salle Chepfer in the Nancy City Hall. The lecture "Émile Coué and Positive Psychology," presented by Elisabeth Bélot-Grimaud, PhD in Positive Cognitive Psychology, will explore the connections between the Coué method and recent research on positive thinking.
This event is part of the 2026 "Coué Year" program, marking the centenary of the death of the Nancy-based pharmacist.
