The Dax Motors n' Blues Festival is a unique event that brings together two passions: blues and beautiful machines. Since 2009, this one-of-a-kind festival has been held every first weekend of July in the Parc Théodore Denis, a green space located along the Boulevard des Sports in Dax, the thermal capital of the Landes.
For three days, the festival features about ten concerts on a large outdoor stage. The program celebrates blues in all its forms: traditional blues, blues rock, electric blues, rock'n'roll, country blues, gospel, and related music. From Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, concerts follow one another in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, under the shade of the park's century-old trees.
Dax Motors n' Blues is more than just a music festival. It's also a celebration of biker culture and beautiful machines. The site hosts vintage motorcycle exhibitions, classic American car exhibitions (muscle cars, hot rods, pick-ups), a mechanics forum, and stands dedicated to the biker world. Two motorcycle rides are organized during the weekend, allowing bikers to ride the Landes roads in convoy.
Dax Motors n' Blues is an association-run festival, supported by over 80 volunteers passionate about blues and motorcycles. This volunteer commitment helps maintain very affordable prices and an authentic atmosphere, far from large commercial festivals. The spirit of the festival is that of a friendly gathering where blues lovers mingle with fans of beautiful machines.
