The European music festival that has been vibrating Clermont-Ferrand since 2006
The Europavox Festival was born in 2006 from an initiative by cultural stakeholders and the Auvergne Regional Council. Its mission: to showcase the diversity of European musical production and break down clichés about the continent's music. From its very first edition, from May 30 to June 4, 2006, nearly 12,000 festival-goers and 43 artists from 18 nationalities responded.
Europavox is distinguished by its resolutely European positioning. Each edition highlights artists from all over Europe, from the most established scenes to the most daring discoveries. The festival mixes pop, rock, electro, hip-hop, chanson, and world music, offering a unique sonic panorama of the continent.
After moving to several towns in the region (Vichy, Montluçon, Aurillac, Thiers, Issoire) until 2008, the festival refocused in 2009 on Clermont-Ferrand, around the Place du 1er Mai. This open-air venue, in the heart of the city, offers a friendly and festive atmosphere.
Since its creation, Europavox has hosted over 500 groups and artists, attracted 160,000 festival-goers, and brought together nearly 3,000 music professionals. The festival has notably featured artists such as Zaho de Sagazan, Polo & Pan, Feu! Chatterton, Kavinsky, Philippe Katerine, Madness, Charlotte Cardin, Bigflo & Oli, and many others.
Europavox is not limited to the summer festival. The organization also develops a European cultural media dedicated to music, showcases in other European cities, and actions to promote emerging artists from the continent.
The 2026 edition of the Europavox Festival celebrates the festival's 20th anniversary from June 26 to 28 on Place du 1er Mai in Clermont-Ferrand. The lineup features Charlotte Cardin, Bigflo & Oli, Benjamin Biolay, Théodora, Pomme, Disiz, Deluxe, Ghinzu, Trinix, Danyl, Altın Gün, Sprints and many European revelations. A special Black Eyed Peas evening is also scheduled for July 4, 2026 at Stade Marcel Michelin.
