Faites du Jeu — edition 2026

Faites du Jeu dans Landerneau returns for its 8th edition with a Japanese theme: on the weekend of October 10th and 11th, 2026, visitors of all ages can join a hunt for yokaï hidden throughout the Maison Pour Tous. With over 70 board games, a prototype design competition, an escape game, and a giant game of Werewolf, these two days offer free admission for the whole family, starting from age 2.

8th edition, October 10th and 11th, 2026

Faites du Jeu dans Landerneau is back for its 8th edition on Saturday, October 10th, and Sunday, October 11th, 2026, at the Maison Pour Tous / Centre Social, place François Mitterrand. Doors are open Saturday from 2:30 PM to midnight and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Admission is free, and the festival is open to all ages, starting from 2 years old.

The association is organizing this event in partnership with the Maison Pour Tous / Centre social, the "La Cabane des P'tits Lutins" toy library, and the Brest-based game shop Ludik Addict. They expect around 1,500 visitors over the weekend.

A Japanese theme

The main event throughout the weekend is a quest to find the yokaï—Japanese spirits—hidden all over the building. The association has launched a call for yokaï drawings from the public to help decorate the festival, with a submission deadline of September 25th, 2026.

Upcoming announcements

Three activities require registration: the giant Werewolf game, the Wonderium escape game, and the murder mystery party. As of mid-August 2026, bookings are not yet open, and the association has indicated that they will be handled via HelloAsso. Details regarding the murder mystery and the puzzle game have not yet been released.

Faites du Jeu dans Landerneau

Faites du Jeu dans Landerneau is a gaming festival held every October at the Maison Pour Tous / Centre Social in Landerneau, Finistère. Admission is free, and the event is open to the whole family, starting from age 2. It brings together around 1,500 visitors and a hundred volunteers over the course of a weekend.

Gaming in all its forms

The festival runs for two days: Saturday from 2:30 PM to midnight, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Over 70 board games are presented by volunteers in areas organized by age and player type. The event also features role-playing game introductions and short sessions, miniature gaming and painting demonstrations, outdoor wooden skill and throwing games under marquees, an escape game, a giant werewolf game, a murder mystery party, puzzle games, and a raffle. Food and drinks are available on-site.

The designers' competition

Each edition includes a board game prototype competition. Eight designers are selected by a jury to present their creations at the festival, where the public tests the prototypes and votes for their favorite. Submitted games must last no longer than one hour, be accessible to players aged 8 and up, and have simple rules. The designers' trophy is awarded on Sunday afternoon.

More than just a festival

The Maison Pour Tous / Centre Social in Landerneau has hosted the La Cabane des P'tits Lutins toy library since 2017, offering monthly board game nights. The festival was born in 2018 from this foundation, driven by a committee of volunteers, and officially became an association in 2019. The 2020 edition was cancelled due to Covid. In 2024, the association launched its Discord community and held its first "Night of the Imaginary" at the Château de Kergroadez.

Throughout the year, the association organizes a board game night on the second Friday of every month in the lobby of the Maison Pour Tous, from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM, which is free and open to all. They also host three role-playing sessions per month in the Landerneau area and beyond, which are free to attend by registration, held either at the Maison Pour Tous or at Ludik Addict in Brest. About fifty volunteers keep the association running year-round.

The festival is organized in collaboration with the Maison Pour Tous / Centre Social, the La Cabane des P'tits Lutins toy library, and the Brest-based shop Ludik Addict / Le Temple du Jeu. The City of Landerneau is one of the key partners.
