Two days of friendly rock on the Esplanade du Cosec in Monthermé
Festibarock'in is a festival whose name is a contraction of "festival", "rock", and "baraquins" (nickname for the inhabitants of Monthermé). It all started in 2012 with the Fête de la Musique, which was the starting point of this musical adventure. The first official edition took place in 2013, driven by the Amicale Automobiliste de Monthermé, an association founded in 1966 that brings together car enthusiasts and lovers of good cheer. Since then, the festival has continued to grow, moving from a one-day free format to two days of concerts starting in 2022.
The hallmark of Festibarock'in lies in its programming of quality tribute bands, paying homage to the greatest rock bands in history. Past editions have featured tributes to ZZ Top (Fuzztop), U2 (U2two), The Rolling Stones (Total Foutrock Covert), The Beatles (Beatbox), Coldplay (Liveplay), Noir Désir (Todo esta aqui), Green Day (Sunk Plays Green Day), Téléphone et JL Aubert (Téléphomme), and Volbeat (Still Counting). Local and regional bands complete the lineup.
The festival takes place on the Esplanade du Cosec, located in Monthermé on the banks of the Meuse, in the river bend surrounded by Ardennes forests. This green natural setting offers an ideal outdoor space for a family-friendly and friendly rock festival. The esplanade hosts a professional stage, a bar and catering area, all in a relaxed atmosphere that is the signature of Festibarock'in.
Festibarock'in aims to be a festival accessible to all. Admission is free for children under 12, and prices for adults remain very reasonable, with advantageous early bird tickets that often sell out in a few hours. The festival offers bar and catering on site. The friendly atmosphere, the quality of the tribute bands, and the exceptional setting of the Meuse valley make it a popular event for rock lovers in the Ardennes and beyond.
