The festival of all music in Meung-sur-Loire
Created in 2004 by the association Musiques en Meung, Festicolor is a contemporary music festival held at the Parc du Centre de Loisirs in Meung-sur-Loire, between Orléans and Blois. For three days, this popular and family-friendly event offers an eclectic program mixing French chanson, rock, reggae, and world music, with a free opening evening. Supported by 130 volunteers, the festival hosts nationally renowned artists and local bands in a friendly atmosphere with free food and camping.
Since 2004, Festicolor has established itself as one of the unmissable musical events in the Loiret department and the Centre-Val de Loire region. Organized by the association Musiques en Meung, this human-sized festival takes place every year at the Parc du Centre de Loisirs in Meung-sur-Loire, halfway between Orléans and Blois, in a green and welcoming setting.
True to its motto of “the festival of all music,” Festicolor offers a deliberately eclectic and accessible program. French chanson, rock, reggae, world music, funk, pop, brass bands, and discoveries share the stage on the festival's two scenes: the Grande scène and the Scène du parc. Each edition opens with a free evening on Thursday, featuring performances by the school choir and the Meung-sur-Loire music school, followed by concerts on the main stage.
Over the years, Festicolor has hosted renowned artists such as Cali, CharlÉlie Couture, L.E.J, Taïro, Vanupié, 47Ter, Diva Faune, MPL, Léonie, and the Ensemble National de Reggae, alongside local bands and emerging artists.
Festicolor is distinguished by its warm and family-friendly atmosphere. Around 130 volunteers mobilize each year to welcome festival-goers in the best conditions. The site has food and drink areas, and offers free camping for those who wish to extend the experience. Admission is free for children under 10 years old, confirming the festival's commitment to remaining open to all.
Festicolor places great importance on local talent from the Loiret: the Harmonie de Meung, music schools, and regional bands perform alongside national headliners. This mix of established artists and local discoveries forms the very identity of the festival, which aims to be a place for sharing, meeting, and conviviality in the heart of the Loire Valley.
With its affordable prices, generous programming, and privileged natural setting, Festicolor perfectly embodies the spirit of an ambitious local festival, rooted in its territory and focused on musical diversity.
