The 2026 theme honors the Belle Époque. On the program: a gallery-village in the medieval village's huts and sheepfolds, Nuit des Cabanons, free concerts, Fête du vin, tastings of Diois wines, and meetings with artists.
Arts et Vigne Festival 2026 — 31st edition, theme "The Belle Époque"
From August 2 to 9, 2026, Châtillon-en-Diois celebrates the alliance of art and wine during the first full week of August, as it has since 1995. The medieval heart of the village transforms into a gallery-village: huts and sheepfolds host about fifty artists (painters, sculptors, art craftsmen), and entry to this circuit is free.
The 2026 edition's theme is the Belle Époque. The week is punctuated by quality free concerts, live shows, conferences, artistic workshops, wine tourism experiences, and walks in the vineyard.
The Wine Festival and the Diois Terroir
The festival promotes the Diois appellations (AOC Châtillon-en-Diois, Clairette de Die, Crémant de Die, Coteaux de Die) through tastings in the old village's cellars, meetings with winemakers, and wine tourism excursions. The Fête du vin opens the festival on Sunday, August 2, with its emblematic moment when the fountain's water turns into wine.
The Nuit des Cabanons
A highlight of the festival, the Nuit des Cabanons offers a musical stroll through the vineyards of Châtillon-en-Diois, punctuated by shows, tastings of Diois wines, and a country meal. It is one of the few paid events of the week (entry at a modest price, €5 in 2025).

Thirty years of art and wine
Created in 1995, the Festival Arts et Vigne was born from the desire to celebrate the wine and artistic heritage of Châtillon-en-Diois, a medieval village in the Drôme region classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France since 2021. For thirty years, this event has successfully combined artistic excellence and wine-related conviviality, becoming a must-attend event of the Diois summer.
A village-gallery in the medieval 'cabanons'
The heart of the festival is a village-gallery set up in the 'cabanons' and shepherd huts of the medieval center. Approximately 70 artists exhibit their works in about sixty exhibition spaces: painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, engraving, illustration, textile art, and installations. The medieval alleys, vaulted passageways, and small village squares become an open-air artistic trail, where visitors move from one studio to another in an atmosphere of discovery and encounter.
The 'Nuit des Cabanons': the festival's highlight
The 'Nuit des Cabanons' is the festival's flagship event. This exceptional evening offers a musical walk through the vineyards of Châtillon-en-Diois, punctuated by shows, tastings of Diois wines, and a countryside meal. At dusk, the vineyard 'cabanons' light up and become ephemeral stages for concerts, performances, and surprise entertainment. The evening continues with a DJ set or a popular dance. A unique moment that combines wine, art, and nature under the Diois stars.
Wines, gastronomy, and wine tourism
The festival highlights the wine appellations of the Diois region: AOC Châtillon-en-Diois, Clairette de Die, Crémant de Die, and Coteaux de Die. Tastings, meetings with winemakers, and wine tourism walks allow visitors to discover these wines in their region of origin. Local meals and producer markets complete the gastronomic offerings.
Shows, concerts, and conviviality
Throughout the week, the festival features concerts, live performances, conferences, art workshops, and torchlight walks in the medieval village. The association Châtillon Arts et Vigne, driven by passionate volunteers, orchestrates this event with a particular focus on artistic quality and conviviality. Entry to the village-gallery is free.
