Over twenty-five years of French-language song

Created in 1999 in Marseille, the Festival Avec le Temps has become the unmissable event for contemporary French-language song in the south of France. Every year in March, for three weeks, the festival offers a demanding and eclectic program that highlights all facets of French-language song: pop, folk, rock, slam, electro, variety, and lyrical songs.

Espace Julien: heart of the festival

The Espace Julien, an iconic venue on the Marseille music scene located at 39 Cours Julien in the 6th arrondissement, is the festival's main location. Inheritor of the district's old market halls, Espace Julien has been managed since 2023 by the association La Responsabilité des Rêves. The festival also unfolds in other venues in Marseille and its surroundings, notably in Vitrolles.

Beyond the ticketed concerts at Espace Julien, the Festival Avec le Temps offers free song trails: concert routes that unfold in stages in iconic locations in Marseille and the region, showcasing emerging artists from the local and regional scene. These trails offer an original way to discover both the music and the city.

Accessibility and signed song

The festival stands out for its commitment to accessibility. Several concerts are offered in signed song—French Sign Language interpretation—accessible to deaf and hearing audiences. This initiative demonstrates the festival's desire to make French-language song accessible to the widest possible audience.
