Festival Brass Band en Pays Bourgueillois

The Festival Brass Band en Pays Bourgueillois is an annual event dedicated to brass bands held every June in the Bourgueillois region, Indre-et-Loire. Organized by the Brass Band du Pays Bourgueillois, this touring festival moves each year to a different commune in the Bourgueillois, highlighting local heritage while celebrating brass music.

A Musical and Festive Weekend

Saturday Gala Evening

The festival opens on Saturday evening with a gala evening during which the Brass Band du Pays Bourgueillois shares the stage with a renowned guest brass band. These gala concerts offer a demanding program, mixing classical brass band repertoire, modern arrangements, and original creations, in a festive and friendly atmosphere.

Sunday in the Open Air

Sunday is a day of free open-air concerts, from 11 am to 6 pm, bringing together five to six brass bands. Spectators can wander between the different stages, enjoy food stalls and exhibitions, and discover the diversity of brass repertoire: from traditional brass band to jazz, including festive and popular music.

Guest Bands

The festival hosts bands from all over France and beyond. Among the regular participants are the Brass Band du Pays Bourgueillois, the host band, as well as ensembles such as Les Gones, Brass Berry, the Brass Band Junior du Conservatoire de Tours, and Brassage Brass Band.

Promoting the Bourgueillois Terroir

The festival is not limited to music: it participates in the promotion of the wine-growing region of the Bourgueil appellation, its architectural heritage, and its traditions. Each edition is an opportunity to discover a new commune, its church, its castle, or its picturesque streets, in a spirit of conviviality and sharing that characterizes the Bourgueillois.
