About Celt'In Lor

The Festival Celt'In Lor is a festival of Celtic music and culture held in Frouard and Pompey, in the Bassin de Pompey in Meurthe-et-Moselle. Created in 2015, it brings together more than 300 musicians and dancers for three days around Celtic culture: bagads, pipe bands, Breton, Irish, and Scottish music groups, Celtic dance, and a grand parade. Celtic culture comes to Lorraine

The Festival Celt'In Lor is a unique event in Lorraine, entirely dedicated to Celtic culture in all its forms. Since its creation in 2015, this festival has successfully united a community passionate about Celtic music and traditions, proving that the heritage of the Celtic nations resonates far beyond Brittany, Scotland, or Ireland.

Over 300 musicians and dancers

Each edition of the festival brings together over 300 musicians and dancers from all over France and Europe. Among the invited ensembles are prestigious bagads such as the Bagad de Lann Bihoué (French Navy), the Bagad Arduin, and the Sonneurs du Lion, as well as numerous regional Celtic music groups. Pipe bands, Breton dance groups, Irish music ensembles, and bagpipe formations complete a rich and varied program.

A festive three-part format

The Festival Celt'In Lor unfolds over three days with distinct highlights:

  • The "Rue de la Soif" on Friday evening: a dozen groups take over 9 bars, restaurants, and venues in Frouard for an evening of Celtic concerts in an Irish pub atmosphere
  • Saturday's concerts and shows: indoor and outdoor programming featuring the festival's headliners
  • The Grand Celtic Parade on Sunday afternoon: a parade of 150 musicians from the Espace de l'Ermitage in Frouard to the intercommunal stadium, the festival's climax

Morning serenades (street concerts at dawn) complete the program, awakening the streets of Frouard and Pompey to the sounds of bagpipes and bombards.

Rooted in the Bassin de Pompey

Located in the Bassin de Pompey, between Nancy and Metz, the Festival Celt'In Lor benefits from the support of the municipalities of Frouard and Pompey and the intercommunal community. It contributes to the cultural and tourist dynamism of this area and demonstrates the vitality of the Celtic movement in Lorraine.
