About Celt'In Lor
The Celt'In Lor Festival was a Celtic music and culture festival held in Frouard and Pompey, in the Bassin de Pompey in Meurthe-et-Moselle. Created in 2015 by the Celt'In Lor association, it gathered several hundred musicians and dancers over three days around Celtic culture: bagads, pipe bands, Breton, Irish and Scottish music groups, Celtic dance, and a grand parade. It also offered a "Rue de la Soif" (Thirst Street) with concerts in bars and restaurants, morning serenades, and a large Celtic parade on Sunday. The last publicly documented edition dates back to September 2019; the festival no longer seems to be held today.

Celtic culture invited to Lorraine
The Celt'In Lor Festival was a unique event in Lorraine, entirely dedicated to Celtic culture in all its forms. Since its creation in 2015, this festival had successfully brought together a passionate community of Celtic music and traditions, proving that the heritage of Celtic nations resonated far beyond Brittany, Scotland, or Ireland.
Several hundred musicians and dancers
Each edition of the festival gathered several hundred musicians and dancers from all over France and Europe. Among the groups invited over the editions were prestigious bagads such as the Bagad de Lann Bihoué (French Navy), Bagad Arduin, and Les Sonneurs du Lion, as well as numerous regional Celtic music groups (La Cage au Folk, Mask Ha Gazh, Celtic Sailors, Les Humeurs Cérébrales…). Pipe bands, Breton dance circles, Irish music groups, and bagpipe ensembles completed a rich and varied program.
A festive format in three parts
The Celt'In Lor Festival unfolded over three days with distinct highlights:
- The "Rue de la Soif" (Thirst Street) on Friday evening: a dozen groups took over bars, restaurants, and venues for an evening of Celtic concerts in an Irish pub atmosphere;
- Saturday's concerts and shows: indoor and outdoor programming featuring the festival's headliners;
- The Grand Celtic Parade on Sunday afternoon: a procession of approximately 150 musicians through the streets of Frouard, the highlight of the festival.
Morning serenades (street concerts in the early morning) completed the program, waking the streets of Frouard and Pompey to the sounds of bagpipes and bombardes.
An anchor in the Bassin de Pompey
Located in the Bassin de Pompey, between Nancy and Metz, the Celt'In Lor Festival benefited from the support of the municipalities of Frouard and Pompey and the community of communes. It had contributed to the cultural and tourist dynamism of this territory and testified to the vitality of the Celtic movement in Lorraine during its editions from 2015 to 2019.
