The reggae and rock meeting of Blanzy
Born in 2020 in Blanzy, the Festival Chamboultou has become in a few editions an unmissable event for reggae and rock lovers in Saône-et-Loire. Every end of June, the Guillaume Warmuz stadium vibrates to the rhythm of three days of eclectic concerts, from roots reggae on Friday to fiery rock on Saturday, crowned by a family-friendly and free Sunday. A warm and friendly atmosphere, driven by the municipality of Blanzy and an ever-growing loyal audience.
The Festival Chamboultou is a beautiful human and cultural adventure born in Blanzy, in the heart of the Saône-et-Loire mining basin. Since its first edition in 2020, this festival, supported by the municipality and its mayor Hervé Mazurek, has established itself as a major musical event in the department, attracting an ever-larger and more enthusiastic audience each year.
The strength of the Festival Chamboultou lies in its bold programming, structured around three themed evenings. Friday is traditionally dedicated to reggae, with nationally renowned artists such as Clinton Fearon, Yaniss Odua, or Danakil. Saturday shifts into the world of rock, hosting iconic bands like Fatals Picards or Picon Mon Amour. Sunday is party time for everyone with a free and family-friendly day, punctuated by entertainment, concerts, and street performances.
Located at the Guillaume Warmuz stadium, the festival offers a green and spacious setting, ideal for enjoying open-air concerts in a relaxed atmosphere. On-site refreshments and food complete the experience, in a spirit of conviviality dear to the organizers. Chamboultou is above all a human-sized festival, where artists and festival-goers share genuine moments of musical communion.
Beyond music, the Festival Chamboultou embodies a cultural dynamic driven by an entire territory. The collaboration between the municipality, local businesses, associations, and institutions makes this event a real lever of attractiveness for Blanzy and the mining basin. In just a few editions, Chamboultou has created a strong identity, making every end of June an anticipated event for the entire region.
