Crescendo — edition 2026
The 24th edition of the Crescendo Festival takes place from Thursday, August 20 to Saturday, August 22, 2026, on the Esplanade du Concié in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer. This FREE European festival dedicated to progressive music in all its forms (progressive rock, progressive metal, psychedelic rock...) brings together this year 10 bands from France, the United States, Canada, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Austria, selected from 126 applications.
2026 Edition
The Crescendo Festival returns for its 24th edition from August 20 to 22, 2026, on the Esplanade du Concié. An entirely free program exploring all styles of progressive music, from traditional rock to the new generation, including metal, psychedelic, and medieval.
The 10 bands for the 2026 edition were selected from 126 applications (62 French, 64 international). The site opens daily at 5 PM, with the possibility of attending band soundchecks from 11 AM.

The European temple of progressive rock
Created in 1999, the Festival Crescendo has become a global reference for progressive music lovers. Every year at the end of August, the Esplanade du Concié in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer hosts three days of entirely free concerts, attracting between 3,000 and 4,000 spectators per evening.
An eclectic program
The festival explores all styles of progressive music: from traditional progressive rock to that of the new generation, including fiery riffs, classical music, instrumental, jazz fusion, and zeuhl. The program mixes artists from the national and international scene, offering a true exploration of the boundaries of progressive music.
A civic and free festival
Managed by an association and largely run by volunteers, the Crescendo Festival remains entirely free. This philosophy makes this demanding and creative music accessible to all, while maintaining exceptional artistic quality recognized throughout Europe.
