Festival d'Animations du Pays de Wissembourg

A free and popular summer event

Every summer, the Parc du Musée in Wissembourg transforms into a vast open-air playground and discovery area. The F'Estival d'Animations du Pays de Wissembourg, supported by Animation Jeunesse FDMJC Alsace and the Communauté de Communes du Pays de Wissembourg, offers three weeks of free activities from late July to mid-August, bringing together families, children, and residents of the medieval town around culture, sport, and leisure.

A rich and varied program for all ages

The FDMJC animation team and local sports and cultural associations take turns offering a rich program: creative workshops (visual arts, crafts, sewing), sports activities (archery, climbing, team games), nature activities (discovering Alsatian flora and fauna), storytelling, street performances, visual arts, and board games thanks to the Arc en Ciel toy library of the Pays de Wissembourg. A relaxation area allows parents to rest while keeping an eye on the activities.

Friday evenings: concerts and conviviality

Friday evenings and Thursday, August 14th, add a festive touch to the event with open-air concerts, food trucks, and the presence of local brewers. These evenings transform the park into a place of conviviality where all generations gather to share a musical and gastronomic moment in the warm atmosphere of northern Alsace.

In the heart of the medieval town

Wissembourg, a town of art and history nestled on the Franco-German border, offers a picturesque setting for the festival. The Parc du Musée, located on rue du Chapitre, is adjacent to the Abbatiale Saints-Pierre-et-Paul and the half-timbered houses that make the town charming. Registration for activities is done directly on-site, on the day itself, which ensures great flexibility for families. Children aged 6 and over can participate in workshops under the supervision of the animation team, while younger children remain under the responsibility of their parents.
