About Dansons Quais
Since 2004, Dansons sur les Quais has brought dancers and curious onlookers together every summer at the Placette de Munich in Bordeaux for a celebration of all things dance: salsa, bachata, kizomba, rock, Argentine tango, urban dance, and traditional styles. Enjoy free introductory workshops, themed evenings hosted by local dance schools and associations, performances, and concerts, all within a lively village set under the shade of plane trees along the Garonne river.

The 2026 edition of Dansons sur les Quais takes place from July 14th to August 2nd, 2026, at the Placette de Munich in Bordeaux: enjoy twenty themed evenings, 90 free dance workshops, dance performances, and two concert nights.
Dansons sur les Quais 2026: Twenty nights of dance along the Garonne
The 2026 edition runs from July 14th to August 2nd, 2026, at the Placette de Munich in Bordeaux. Each evening features a specific dance style: salsa and bachata, kizomba, rock and swing, country, West Coast swing, Argentine tango, traditional folk dances, as well as tropical and Brazilian balls. Free introductory workshops precede each evening, starting at 2:00 PM on weekdays and 11:00 AM on weekends.
On three Saturdays (July 18th, July 25th, and August 1st), dance performances kick off the evening. On July 31st, the Jujubees will perform a swing concert, and the festival concludes on August 2nd with a Brazilian ball accompanied by a forró concert.

Prices
Introductory workshops and daytime activities are free, as is entry to all events for minors. In the evening, dance shows and parties cost €5, while concert nights are €7. A full festival pass is available for €25. Online booking via HelloAsso is recommended.

Tram: Lines B, C, D, and E, Quinconces stop; Line A, Stalingrad or Sainte-Catherine stops; Line F, Porte de Bourgogne stop. Bus: Lines 2, 5, 15, and 23. Boat: BATO line 2, Quinconces-Jean-Jaurès stop. Parking: Bourse, Jean Jaurès, Cité Mondiale, and Quinconces car parks. Bicycle parking is available on-site, with four Le Vélo stations nearby.

Dansons sur les Quais: Open-air dancing by the Garonne
Founded in 2004, the Dansons sur les Quais festival takes over the Placette de Munich on Quai Louis XVIII, right across from the Place des Quinconces, every summer. It is a festival for everyone, whether you are a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner: come to learn, dance until late at night, or simply relax with a drink in hand under the shade of the trees.
Grand themed evenings
Every day has its own vibe: salsa and bachata, kizomba, rock and swing, country, West Coast swing, Argentine tango, traditional folk dances, or Brazilian balls. These evenings are hosted by local dance schools and associations, which also offer performances and demonstrations mid-evening. Each night kicks off with free introductory workshops, perfect for those taking their very first steps.
A full day of activities
The festival village stays buzzing all day long. Free workshops begin at 11:00 am on weekends and 2:00 pm on weekdays, covering a wide variety of styles including partner dances, world dances, and urban styles. In 2026, dance performances opened the evenings on Saturdays, July 18th, July 25th, and August 1st.
A guinguette on the waterfront
A guinguette-style refreshment and dining area with a shaded terrace welcomes visitors from opening to closing. Food trucks are on-site in the evenings, offering a selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes and drinks.
Accessible to all
The site is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. Daytime workshops and activities are free, entry is free for minors, and evenings featuring shows or concerts require a ticket.
