Celebration of local flavors at Château-d'Oléron
The Oyster and Pineau Festival celebrates the two great specialties of the island of Oléron: oysters and Pineau des Charentes. This unmissable summer event offers tastings of local products, musical entertainment, dances, and fireworks in the friendly atmosphere of the port of Château.
The Oyster and Pineau Festival is a traditional summer event in Château-d'Oléron that honors the two emblematic products of the region: oysters from the Marennes-Oléron basin and Pineau des Charentes. From July to August, every Sunday evening becomes a celebration of local gastronomy.
From 5 PM, the port of Château-d'Oléron comes alive with stands offering tastings of mussels, oysters, sausages, fries, and other local specialties. Musical entertainment, dances, and fireworks (weather permitting) create a festive and friendly atmosphere for the whole family, combining maritime tradition and Charentais lifestyle.
