About Langres Gastronomique

Langres Gastronomique is an annual gastronomic fair organized in Langres, Haute-Marne, at the crossroads of Champagne and Burgundy. Created in 2019 by the association Langres Foires et Salons, this event brings together nearly 100 exhibitors, producers, and local artisans around Langres AOP cheese and regional specialties every first weekend of June. Culinary demonstrations by a Michelin-starred chef, cheese brotherhoods, musical entertainment, and amateur cooking contests punctuate this celebration of Haute-Marne gastronomy.

Langres Gastronomique: The Showcase of Haute-Marne's Local Products

Every first weekend of June, the Salle Jean Favre in Langres hosts Langres Gastronomique, a festive and gourmet event that highlights the gastronomic richness of southern Haute-Marne, at the crossroads of Champagne and Burgundy. Created in 2019 by the association Langres Foires et Salons, this fair has become, in just a few editions, an unmissable event for lovers of good food and local products.

Langres AOP Cheese in the Spotlight

At the heart of the event is the Langres cheese, a soft, washed-rind cheese benefiting from a Protected Designation of Origin (AOP). Recognizable by its fountain-like hollow shape and its orange rind, it is the ambassador of the local cheese heritage. The Confrérie des Tastes Fromages de Langres, a true guardian of this tradition, is present to help discover and share the passion for this exceptional cheese.

Over 110 Exhibitors and 80 Stands

The fair brings together over 110 exhibitors for more than 80 stands, producers and artisans who offer a wide range of local products:

  • Cheeses: Langres AOP, Chaource, Époisses and other regional cheese specialties
  • Wines: Champagne and Burgundy crus, regional wines
  • Craft beers: local breweries from Haute-Marne
  • Cured meats: sausages, hams and country terrines
  • Honeys: flower, linden, and forest honeys
  • Breads and pastries: artisanal bakery specialties
  • Snails, ice creams, syrups, jams and other local delicacies

The Culinary Academy and Michelin-Starred Chefs

One of the highlights of Langres Gastronomique is the presence of the Departmental Culinary Academy, which offers live cooking demonstrations. Each edition is sponsored by a Michelin-starred chef who shares their expertise with the public. Chef Angelo Ferrigno was the patron of the 2025 edition, while chef Valentin Loison (Bulle d'Osier restaurant — Clos Vauban in Langres) is sponsoring the 2026 edition.

Entertainment and Festivities

Beyond the producers' market, Langres Gastronomique offers a varied program of entertainment:

  • Amateur cooking competition: visitors can compete with recipes highlighting local products
  • Musical evenings: concerts and DJs liven up the weekend evenings
  • Shows: the Compagnie des Hallebardiers and other artists provide entertainment
  • Raffles and competitions: many prizes to be won throughout the event
  • Gastronomic brotherhoods: the Confrérie des Tastes Fromages de Langres and the Confrérie de la Moutarde de Dijon participate in the entertainment
  • Children's area: inflatable game, ventriloquism, and wandering performances for families

A Territory Between Champagne and Burgundy

Langres, a city of art and history perched on a promontory, is surrounded by four lakes and remarkable landscapes. Less known for its gastronomic products than for its ramparts and historical heritage, the city has found in Langres Gastronomique a formidable means of promoting its local products and revitalizing its territory.

Langres Gastronomique — edition 2026

The 7th edition of Langres Gastronomique takes place from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Salle Jean Favre and its surroundings. This edition is sponsored by Michelin-starred chef Valentin Loison (Bulle d'Osier restaurant — Clos Vauban, Langres) and brings together over 110 exhibitors spread across more than 80 stands, focusing on Langres AOP cheese, Champagne and Burgundy wines, and the flavors of the Haut-Marnais region.

2026 Edition — the 7th Langres Gastronomique

From Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7, 2026, Salle Jean Favre and its surroundings host the 7th edition of Langres Gastronomique. The Langres Foires et Salons association announces over 110 exhibitors across more than 80 stands, the largest format for the event since its creation in 2019.

Valentin Loison, Michelin-starred patron of the edition

Chef Valentin Loison, Michelin-starred and at the helm of the Bulle d'Osier restaurant (Clos Vauban, Langres), sponsors the 2026 edition. He leads several culinary demonstrations alongside the Departmental Culinary Academy and students from the Langres Hotel School.

Brotherhoods and Langres AOP cheese

The Confrérie des Tastes Fromages de Langres is present throughout the three days to introduce the local AOP. The Confrérie de la Moutarde de Dijon and several other regional gastronomic brotherhoods also participate in the activities.

Producers, wines, and local products

Producers and artisans from Grand Est and beyond offer for sale AOP cheeses (Langres, Chaource, Époisses…), Champagne and Burgundy wines, craft beers, cured meats, honeys, snails, ice creams, breads, syrups, and jams. The Guinguette Gourmande under a marquee offers an on-site catering area throughout the event.
