About Festival de la Tave

The Festival de la Tave is a French song festival organized by the Chansonyme association in the villages of the Tave valley, in Uzège, in the Gard department (Occitanie). Created in 2022, this itinerant festival celebrates French song and "anonymous songs" through a series of concert evenings offered from village to village. It contributes to the cultural and tourist dynamism of the Uzège territory and the entire Gard department.

Festival de la Tave, French Song at the Heart of Uzège

The Festival de la Tave is an event dedicated to French song, organized by the Chansonyme association in the Tave valley, in Uzège (Gard, Occitanie). Created in 2022, it has quickly established itself as a highlight of local cultural life.

An Itinerant Festival from Village to Village

The particularity of the Festival de la Tave is its itinerant format: each day, the festival sets up in a different village in the Tave valley — Saint-Laurent-la-Vernède, Pougnadoresse, La Bastide-d'Engras, La Bruguière, Fontarèches or La Bruguière. This formula highlights the heritage and living environment of each commune while bringing residents together around music.

Songs, Musical Walks and Masterclasses

The program combines French song concerts, musical and heritage walks, "Midi en chansons" (Midday in Songs), guitar masterclasses, and rhythm and voice workshops. The festival brings together established artists and new voices in song, in a friendly and family atmosphere.

An Event Driven by Volunteers

Carried by the Chansonyme association and numerous volunteers, the Festival de la Tave aims to bring together generations and residents of the Uzège villages around a living heritage: French song.
