Since 2008, Nyons Festiv'été has been the unmissable musical event of the Nyons summer. Organized by the City of Nyons, this free open-air concert festival enlivens the town center three times a week during the months of July and August, offering residents and vacationers eclectic and convivial musical evenings in the heart of Drôme provençale.

21 Free and Eclectic Concerts

Each summer, Nyons Festiv'été offers around twenty free concerts scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings at 9:30 PM. The programming celebrates musical diversity: French chanson, rock, jazz, world music, funk, reggae, folk, afrobeat, brass band, and choral singing take turns on stage throughout the summer, ensuring varied atmospheres from one evening to the next.

The invited bands, often regional but sometimes from further afield, bring their energy and talent to the town squares, transformed for the occasion into open-air stages. This eclectic programming allows everyone to find their musical pleasure, from rock fans to lovers of traditional music.

Nyons' Squares as a Stage

The concerts take place mainly on Place du Docteur Bourdongle and at the Théâtre de Verdure, two emblematic locations in the center of Nyons. These open-air spaces, lined with plane trees and café terraces, offer a naturally warm setting for musical evenings under the stars. Spectators can sit or stand freely in a relaxed and festive atmosphere that is the charm of Provençal summer evenings.
