Concerts and arts in the cloister of the Saint-Génis-des-Fontaines abbey
The village of Saint-Génis-des-Fontaines, nestled at the foot of the Albères in the Pyrénées-Orientales, is famous for its Benedictine abbey founded in the 8th century. Its pink marble cloister, entirely made of marble from local quarries, offers a unique setting for summer cultural events.
In the summer, the abbey cloister hosts jazz concerts, particularly as part of the Jazz en Tech festival, which programs concerts in Saint-Génis-des-Fontaines and Céret. The 11th edition of Jazz en Tech offers concerts on July 26 and 27, 2026 in Saint-Génis-des-Fontaines, featuring internationally renowned artists.
In August and September, a sculpture symposium brings together over 40 exhibiting artists in the cloister. Open-air cinema screenings and traditional Catalan festivals complete the summer program of this village of art and history.
The 11th edition of Jazz en Tech will take over the cloister of the Saint-Génis-des-Fontaines abbey on July 26 and 27, 2026. Internationally renowned artists will perform in this jewel of Catalan Romanesque art.
