About Festival de Trélazé

Created in 1996, the Festival de Trélazé is a free music event that takes place every summer at the Parc du Vissoir, on the outskirts of Angers. For nearly a month, about fifteen concerts feature nationally and internationally renowned artists. Rock, French chanson, reggae, pop, hip-hop, jazz: the eclectic programming is open to all. The Parc du Vissoir, with its 12 hectares of greenery, offers an ideal setting for memorable summer evenings.

The Festival de Trélazé: music celebration all summer long

Since 1996, the Festival de Trélazé has been one of the most popular free music events in Western France. Organized by the City of Trélazé and the association Arena Loire Trélazé, this festival takes place every summer at the Parc du Vissoir, a 12-hectare green space located in Trélazé, in the Angers agglomeration.

An eclectic and ambitious program

The Festival de Trélazé offers about fifteen concerts each year, spread over nearly a month, from Fête de la Musique (June 21) to mid-July. The programming mixes national headliners and emerging artists, across all musical genres: French chanson, rock, pop, reggae, hip-hop, jazz, world music, variety. Among the artists who have graced the festival stages: Yannick Noah, Barbara Pravi, Olivia Ruiz, Pascal Obispo, Tiakola, Thomas Dutronc, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Burning Spear, Cali, Joey Starr, and many others.

A free and popular festival

The DNA of the Festival de Trélazé is its freeness. Since its creation, all concerts have been free access, without reservation. This philosophy makes the festival an intergenerational event, bringing together families, young people, music lovers, and the curious in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. The Parc du Vissoir has several stages and numerous food and drink stands, offering a pleasant setting to enjoy summer evenings.

Strong local roots

The Festival de Trélazé is deeply rooted in the identity of the town, a former slate quarry town that has become a dynamic cultural hub on the outskirts of Angers. The event mobilizes hundreds of volunteers each year and contributes to the influence of Trélazé and the Angers agglomeration. In 2026, the festival will celebrate its 30th edition, a symbolic milestone for this event that has become a must-see in the musical landscape of the West.
