An eclectic festival on the banks of the Marne
Born in 2012 under the name Ferté Jazz Festival, the Festival des 2 Rivières takes its name from the magnificent natural setting of the Espace des 2 Rivières in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, located at the confluence of the Marne and Petit Morin rivers. What began as a jazz festival has gradually opened up to all musical genres, becoming a resolutely eclectic event where jazz, funk, soul, blues, rock, French chanson, pop, world music, and electronic music coexist.
A high-quality lineup
Over the editions, the festival has welcomed internationally renowned artists: Gregory Porter (2017), Marcus Miller (2012), Kassav' (2021), Louis Bertignac (2023), Christophe Maé and MC Solaar (2024). The 15th edition in 2026 confirms this rise in power with an exceptional lineup bringing together Fatoumata Diawara, Superbus, Gaël Faye, Claudio Capéo, Joe Bel, Vanille, Kolinga, Les Frères Smith, Cumbia Ya, Boa Brass Band and many others, across more than 20 concerts spread over two stages.
A human-scale festival in a bucolic setting
The Festival des 2 Rivières cultivates the spirit of a human-scale festival, prioritizing proximity between artists and the audience. The Espace des 2 Rivières, a vast tree-lined park on the banks of the Marne, offers a rural and green setting that contrasts with large urban festivals. The Grande Scène, under a big top, hosts the headliners, while the Scène Île-de-France, with free access, showcases emerging artists from the Île-de-France region.
An inclusive pricing policy
True to its commitment to accessibility, the festival offers an inclusive pricing policy with controlled rates, reductions for young people aged 12 to 25, job seekers, RSA beneficiaries, and people with disabilities (and their accompanying person), as well as free entry for children under 6 years old. The Scène Île-de-France and the wandering program in the festival village are freely accessible. This philosophy has helped to build loyalty among a family and multi-generational audience, making the Festival des 2 Rivières a popular event in the noble sense of the term.
A festival that continues to grow
Since its creation, the festival has continuously grown, evolving from a confidential event to a major fixture in the Seine-et-Marne festival calendar. The 2025 edition gathered 12,300 festival-goers, demonstrating the growing enthusiasm for this event which offers, less than an hour from Paris, a quality musical and rural getaway. Since 2022, the festival has been managed by SEM Ferté Jazz, which succeeded the Jazz en Pays Fertois association to secure and develop the festival's economic model.
