Art crafts, training and music in the heart of the Loire Valley
The Festival des Arts et Métiers de Mosnes is a three-day event organized in September between Amboise and Chaumont-sur-Loire. Supported by the town hall and the Une Musique Un Sourire foundation, it showcases art crafts by welcoming artisans, training centers, and Meilleurs Ouvriers de France. Concerts, workshops for children, exhibitions, and a giant karaoke complete a rich and supportive program backing the creation of an inclusive school for autistic children.
Every September, the small village of Mosnes, nestled between Amboise and Chaumont-sur-Loire on the banks of the Loire, transforms into a village of art crafts for three days. The Festival des Arts et Métiers, also known as "Mosnes en Fête," takes over the Domaine des Thomeaux and the Parc de l'Orangerie to welcome artisans, artists, and visitors in a bucolic and green setting in the heart of the Loire Valley.
The festival pursues a dual ambition: to introduce art crafts to the general public and to raise awareness among young people about manual and artisanal trades. Vocational training centers from the Centre-Val de Loire region present their courses and allow visitors, especially young people seeking orientation, to discover apprenticeship pathways in craftsmanship. Artisans — ceramists, cabinetmakers, blacksmiths, glassmakers, jewelers, bookbinders, and many others — exhibit and demonstrate their skills. A delegation of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (MOF) brings a dimension of excellence to the event.
The Festival des Arts et Métiers is not limited to art crafts. The musical program is an essential part of the event, with pop, funk, and classical music concerts on Saturday evening that liven up the village. On Friday evening, a giant karaoke kicks off the festivities in a relaxed atmosphere. Art exhibitions punctuate the route, and catering and bar services allow visitors to refresh themselves throughout the day.
The festival is co-organized by the Mosnes town hall and the Une Musique Un Sourire foundation, whose goal is to create the first inclusive school for autistic children in France. This supportive dimension gives the event a special human depth. Free workshops and activities for children are offered throughout the weekend, making the festival a truly family-friendly and accessible event.
The festival takes place at the Domaine des Thomeaux and in the Parc de l'Orangerie in Mosnes (37530).
