The eco-festival that mixes genres and cultures in a rural setting
The Festival des Kampagn'Arts is an eco-festival of contemporary music organized every end of June in Saint-Paterne-Racan by the association Bouge Ton Bled. Created in 2007, it offers two evenings of concerts in a bucolic setting entirely decorated according to an annual theme, with a capacity of 6,000 people per evening. The festival is distinguished by its eco-responsible approach, its spirit of cultural diversity, and its desire to bring urban art to rural areas.
The Festival des Kampagn'Arts was born in 2007 in Saint-Paterne-Racan, a rural commune in northern Indre-et-Loire, from the desire of the association Bouge Ton Bled to create an ambitious cultural event in a rural area. The challenge was bold: to offer a quality festival of contemporary music, mixing genres and cultures, in a territory far from major urban centers. Nearly twenty years later, the festival has become an unmissable event on the Touraine cultural scene.
One of the great unique features of the Festival des Kampagn'Arts is the site's scenography. Each year, the festival grounds are entirely decorated and transformed according to an annual theme that guides artistic creation. In 2025, the theme was "Time Travel". This immersive staging, created by volunteers throughout the year, creates a unique and enveloping atmosphere that transports festival-goers into a dreamlike universe as soon as they arrive on site.
The festival features contemporary music artists covering a wide spectrum: rock, electro, hip-hop, reggae, chanson, and world music. The emphasis is on the diversity of genres and cultures, with significant space reserved for emerging artists and local bands. The festival offers two evenings of concerts on a shaded and pleasant site, with a capacity of 6,000 people per evening.
The Festival des Kampagn'Arts is committed to an affirmed eco-responsible approach. Waste sorting, reusable cups, catering favoring short supply chains and local products, public awareness of environmental issues: the festival integrates sustainable development in all its dimensions. This approach echoes the festival's rural roots and the organizers' desire to offer an event in harmony with its environment.
The association Bouge Ton Bled, founder and organizer of the festival, carries an ambitious cultural project for the rural territory of Saint-Paterne-Racan. Beyond the festival, the association works throughout the year for local cultural animation and the promotion of arts in rural areas. The festival is driven by a team of passionate volunteers who dedicate months of preparation to creating the decor, organizing logistics, and programming.
18th edition of the Festival des Kampagn'Arts on June 26 and 27, 2026 in Saint-Paterne-Racan. Two evenings of contemporary music in an eco-responsible setting and a themed decor. Program to be discovered.
