The Festival Itinéraires Singuliers is a multidisciplinary event organized in Dijon by the association Itinéraires Singuliers, a resource center for Arts, Culture, Health, and Disabilities in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Since 2011, it has brought together exhibitions, shows, workshops, concerts, and meetings centered around diversity and inclusion, giving a voice to artists who speak about human fractures in a sensitive and lively way, without victimisation.
Rhythm: the festival is held only in odd-numbered years. In even-numbered years, the association instead organizes its Biennale d'Art Singulier, which takes over for a shorter period in spring.
The Festival Itinéraires Singuliers is a unique cultural event, organized in Dijon by the association Itinéraires Singuliers. Recognized since 2015 as a Resource Center for «Arts, Culture, Health, and Disabilities» in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the association conceives and shares artistic projects at the interface of culture, social work, the hospital world, the world of disability, and education.
The association Itinéraires Singuliers organizes alternately two annual highlights:
Therefore, there is no festival edition in 2026: the biennial takes over. The next edition of the festival is expected in spring 2027.
The festival opens its artistic approach to all those who, professionals or not, attempt through their actions or artistic creations to speak about human fractures in an original, sensitive, and lively way. The program combines exhibitions of plastic and digital creations (photography, video, painting, sculpture, installations), live performances (theater, dance, music), and participatory workshops.
At the heart of the Itinéraires Singuliers project is L'Hostellerie, a Center for Singular Art located at CH La Chartreuse in Dijon. This unique venue hosts exhibitions, artist residencies, and cultural events throughout the year, and serves as the anchor point for both the festival and the biennial. During the festival, plastic and digital creations are brought together in a collective exhibition, while live performances are staged in various locations in Dijon (Cèdre de Chenôve, Salle Mendes France in Quétigny, Cinéma Eldorado, libraries, etc.).
The festival benefits from the support of the Ministère de la Culture, which recognizes its pioneering role in bridging culture and disability. Each edition attracts a diverse audience, bringing together art lovers, professionals from the medico-social sector, and the general public, around a demanding and accessible program.
