The pop and French chanson festival at the foot of the Château des Rohan
Born in 2023 from a partnership between the Ville de Saverne and the company Produc-Son, the Festival Les Alpagas Bleus transforms the sumptuous Parc du Château des Rohan into an open-air music stage every summer. For three days in July, national headliners—from Soprano to Patrick Bruel, including Stephan Eicher and Matmatah—perform for thousands of spectators gathered in an exceptional heritage setting, between the pink sandstone of the Vosges and French gardens, to celebrate French chanson and pop in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.
In 2023, the Ville de Saverne and the production company Produc-Son joined forces to create a new musical event in Northern Alsace: Les Alpagas Bleus. The ambitious goal was to transform the park of the Château des Rohan, an 18th-century architectural gem nicknamed the 'Alsatian Versailles,' into an open-air festival dedicated to French chanson and pop. From the very first edition, 7,800 spectators attended to applaud Claudio Capéo, Trois Cafés Gourmands, and Les Fatals Picards, confirming the public's appetite for a major musical event in the region.
The Parc du Château des Rohan offers an incomparable natural and historical backdrop. Nestled against the foothills of the Vosges du Nord, the estate combines French gardens, shaded paths, and monumental perspectives of the château's pink sandstone facade. It is in this setting that the main stage is set up each summer, offering festival-goers an experience where heritage and music resonate under the Alsatian sky. Sunsets over the Vosges add a touch of magic to the summer evenings.
Les Alpagas Bleus champions an artistic direction focused on French chanson, pop, and variety, blending established headliners with emerging artists. The 2026 edition perfectly illustrates this ambition with Soprano, Patrick Bruel, Matmatah accompanied by The Fuzzy Brass Four, and Stephan Eicher as headliners, complemented by discoveries like Lila-May, Redlight Dreams, and Anaïs MVA. The 2025 edition hosted Hoshi, Eddy de Pretto, Meute, and Les Tambours du Bronx, confirming the eclectic nature of the programming.
Located at the foot of the Saverne Pass, the town is a natural crossroads between the Alsatian plain and the Lorraine plateau, easily accessible via the A4 motorway and the TGV Est high-speed train line. The festival leverages this strategic location to attract audiences from across the Grand Est region, neighboring Germany, and beyond. Tickets are available through multiple channels—SeeTickets, Fnac, Ticketmaster, Carrefour, Leclerc, and the Saverne Tourist Office—ensuring broad accessibility. The 3-day Pass and single-day tickets allow everyone to tailor their festival experience.
