A festival of curious music in the heart of Berry
Born in 2022 from the will of the Interlude association, the Festival Les Intemporel-les has quickly established itself as a must-attend musical event in the south of the Indre. This festival of curious music celebrates the meeting of different musical styles, from all regions of the world and all eras, in a warm, generous spirit open to discovery.
Heritage sites as musical settings
One of the festival's unique features is the choice of its concert venues. Spectators are invited to discover music in exceptional heritage sites in the south of the Indre: the crypt of Argentomagus, a Gallo-Roman archaeological site, the church of Paulnay, the church of Le Menoux, the Eden Palace cinema, the Château du Courbat, or the Scène des Jardins and Place Carnot in Argenton-sur-Creuse. Each location gives the concerts a unique and intimate atmosphere.
An eclectic and demanding program
The festival programs around thirty concerts over eight days, with a lineup that mixes genres without hierarchy: world music, French song, classical and baroque music, electro, funk, groove, folk, and contemporary creations coexist in the same edition. Emerging artists and established musicians share the bill, offering the public the opportunity to discover unexpected musical universes.
A human and territorial adventure
Beyond the musical program, Les Intemporel-les is a project rooted in its territory. The festival brings to life the villages and heritage sites of the south of the Indre, creating connections between residents, artists, and festival-goers from all over France. The concerts are followed by moments of conviviality and encounters, in the spirit of a human-sized festival where proximity to the artists is prioritized.
A growing festival
Since its creation in 2022, the festival has continued to grow, expanding from a few concerts to a dense eight-day program. The 2025 edition, the fourth of its kind, hosted renowned artists such as Malik Djoudi, Acid Arab, Birds on a Wire, Natascha Rogers, Madalitso Band, and Astrig Siranossian. The 2026 edition will celebrate the festival's fifth anniversary with an even richer and more ambitious program.
