About Chaumont Book Fair

The Festival Livre en Fête de Chaumont-en-Vexin, also known as the Chaumont-en-Vexin Book Fair, is an annual literary event organized in May at the Baillage (Lucien Pissarro exhibition halls). For over 25 years, this fair has hosted around forty authors for signing sessions, meetings, and discussions about books. Novels, local literature, thrillers, poetry, children's literature, and comics are represented. Workshops, activities, and conferences complete the program.

For more than a quarter of a century, Chaumont-en-Vexin, a charming town in the French Vexin region of the Oise department, has hosted its Book Fair. This literary event, organized by the Office de la Culture de Chaumont-en-Vexin, has become a must-attend event for book and reading lovers in the department.

Access and Transport

By car: Chaumont-en-Vexin is accessible via the D981 from Beauvais (approx. 30 min) or via the N14 from Paris and Pontoise (approx. 1 hour). The town is also easily accessible from Gisors, Magny-en-Vexin, and the towns of the French Vexin. Free parking is available in the town center, in immediate proximity to Place du Vieux-Marché and the Baillage. Parking is generally easy on Sundays.

By bus: Departmental bus lines from Beauvais and neighboring towns in the Vexin. Consult the schedules of the Oise transport network for connections. Note: bus services may be reduced on Sundays.
