Rire Onet: Comedy kicks off the season at La Baleine

Every September since 2010, the Festival Rire Onet has launched the cultural season in Onet-le-Château, part of the Rodez urban area.

Stand-up, showcases, and short formats

The program blends stand-up, one-man shows, magic, and clown theater, pairing up-and-coming artists with nationally recognized names. Comedians who have graced the stage in Onet include Stéphane Guillon, Éric et Quentin, and Thomas Marty in 2022, as well as Roman Doduik, Guillermo Guiz, and David Voinson in 2024.

Two venues, two formats

Ticketed evening performances take place at the Théâtre La Baleine, a municipal venue with 493 seats (486 standard and 7 accessible for people with reduced mobility) that opened in September 2012 at 25 place des Artistes. The Café Culturel Le Krill, located in the theater's lobby, hosts shorter performances such as concerts, small-scale acts, and shows for young audiences, most of which are free with a reservation.
