Live arts festival at TNB in Rennes
2026
About Transforme
The Transforme Festival is a multidisciplinary live arts festival hosted at the Théâtre National de Bretagne (TNB) in Rennes, Ille-et-Vilaine. Conceived by the Fondation d'entreprise Hermès, it transforms the stage into a place of transformation — sensitive, political, and intimate — by bringing together theatre, dance, performance, circus, and visual arts.
Transforme — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Festival Transforme takes place from May 20 to June 5, 2026, at the Théâtre National de Bretagne (TNB) and off-site, in Rennes. Conceived by the Fondation d'entreprise Hermès and co-constructed with the TNB, the Théâtre de la Cité internationale (Paris), La Comédie de Clermont-Ferrand, and les SUBS (Lyon), this itinerant festival makes the stage a place of transformation, at the crossroads of theatre, dance, performance, and visual arts.
Festival Transforme — 2026 Edition
From May 20 to June 5, 2026, Festival Transforme takes over the Théâtre National de Bretagne and several off-site locations in Rennes. Conceived by the Fondation d'entreprise Hermès, the festival offers a concise but very dense program of six multidisciplinary shows, where the stage becomes a laboratory of attention, bodies, voices, images, and narratives.
The program blends object theatre, exhibition-performance, live documentary radio plays, collective dance, high-intensity choreographic nights, and aerial circus. The public is invited to experience deliberately uncompartmentalized proposals: headphone experiences, immersive journeys, performances to be experienced lying down or moving among the dancers.
An Itinerant Festival
Festival Transforme circulates between four partner theatres in France: the TNB in Rennes, the Théâtre de la Cité internationale in Paris, La Comédie de Clermont-Ferrand, and les SUBS in Lyon. In Rennes, it is supported by the Théâtre National de Bretagne, European Theatrical and Choreographic Centre directed by Arthur Nauzyciel.
