About Fête de Frouzins

The Fête de Frouzins, also known as the local Saint-Germier festival, is the annual patron saint festival of the commune of Frouzins, in Haute-Garonne (Occitanie). Every year in mid-May, it brings together residents and visitors for four days around a festive and family-friendly program: a funfair, torchlight procession, ball, pétanque competition, and associative refreshment stand. The 49th edition took place from May 14 to 17, 2026.

Fête de Frouzins: the Saint-Germier patron saint festival

The Fête de Frouzins, more precisely the local Saint-Germier festival, is one of the most anticipated events in the commune of Frouzins, in the Toulouse metropolitan area (Haute-Garonne, Occitanie). Rooted in local tradition, it celebrates the village's patron saint every year in mid-May, spanning four days of entertainment that mobilizes the entire commune.

A village festival open to all

During these four days, several emblematic locations in Frouzins host the festivities: the town hall square for the start of the torchlight procession, the Salle Latapie and its car park for the ball with an orchestra or DJ, the Parc Saint-Germier for musical receptions and exhibitions, and the Boulodrome de Paucheville for the pétanque competition. A funfair with rides for all ages is set up for the entire duration of the festivities, and an associative refreshment stand maintains a friendly atmosphere.

A tradition supported by the commune

The festival is currently organized by the Frouzins town hall, in conjunction with local associations. The Comité Festif de Frouzins, an association historically involved in the festival, was dissolved in March 2024 — the municipality has since taken over the organization and communication around the event. The festival remains free and open to all, in the spirit of a true village gathering.

An event that marks the season in Frouzins

With almost fifty editions since 1978, the Fête de la Saint-Germier has become a landmark in the local festive calendar and a highlight of communal life. It illustrates Frouzins' attachment to its traditions and its desire to pass them on to new generations, in a Haute-Garonne department where patron saint and local festivals remain deeply rooted in village life.
