The Fête de la Musique de Sète returns on Sunday, June 21, 2026, as it does throughout France, to celebrate the summer solstice and the beginning of the beautiful season. All day long and into the evening, the city of Sète vibrates to the rhythm of free concerts that take over the streets, squares, and terraces of bars and restaurants. Organized by the Ville de Sète (Festivals and Events department), this popular and friendly event brings together amateur and experienced musicians, orchestras, local groups, and artists from all backgrounds, in all musical styles.
On June 21, 2026, Sète celebrates music and the beginning of summer! As every year, the Fête de la Musique transforms the singular island into a huge open-air stage. Several stages and entertainment points are set up in the city streets for open-air concerts bringing together local groups and artists from across the region. The city's bars, restaurants, and establishments also participate in this musical evening, with concerts organized on terraces (weather permitting) or indoors.
Among the anticipated events, the Harmonie de Sète, under the direction of Thibault Roche and Victor Bertrand, will perform at Parc Simone-Veil (rue de la Caraussane). All musical genres are honored: song, jazz, world music, rock, classical, and traditional music.
The Ville de Sète invites technically self-sufficient musicians and groups to occupy public spaces to share their world and meet the public, in a spirit of sharing and conviviality. Participation is voluntary and free of charge; registrations are made with the Festivals and Events department of the Ville de Sète ([email protected]).
