The Fête de la Musique in Chaville: two stages, one night of live music
Chaville (92370) is a residential town in the Hauts-de-Seine department, bordering the Meudon national forest. It boasts a rich cultural life and a particularly active community sector in music. Every June 21st, the town mobilizes to offer its residents a high-quality Fête de la Musique, organized on two complementary stages.
The Jardins de la Mairie: the main outdoor stage
The main stage is set up in the Jardins de la Mairie, at 1456 avenue Roger Salengro. This beautiful green setting hosts concerts from 4:45 PM to 11:00 PM, offering an ideal verdant backdrop for summer performances. A dozen amateur bands take turns on stage, presenting a varied and eclectic program.
In 2025, the Jardins de la Mairie program included:

- Funk Experience Unit at 5:30 PM
- La LT at 7:00 PM
- Maylopée at 7:45 PM
- Alchimix at 8:30 PM
- Line & Co at 9:15 PM
- Throwback Thursday at 10:00 PM
The diversity of these groups reflects the musical richness of the local scene: from traditional Breton music to contemporary funk sounds, as well as pop-rock bands and jazz-fusion ensembles.
The MJC de la Vallée: the intimacy of a café-concert
Meanwhile, the MJC de la Vallée (25 rue des Fontaines Marivel) offers a program in its café-stage in a more intimate atmosphere, ideal for fans of indoor music. Bands perform from 7:00 PM to around 10:00 PM, providing a warm and friendly alternative to the main outdoor stage.
The complementarity of the two stages is one of the successes of Chaville's Fête de la Musique: every audience finds something to enjoy, whether they prefer the festive and collective atmosphere of the gardens or the warmth of a close-up concert at the MJC.
A civic and musical celebration
Chaville's Fête de la Musique is the result of close collaboration between the municipality, the MJC, and local music associations. The participating bands, the vast majority amateur or semi-professional, represent the musical diversity of the town and the Hauts-de-Seine department. A call for applications is launched each spring by the City to allow local musicians to register and perform on stage.
How to get there
Chaville is accessible via Transilien Line N (Chaville-Vélizy station) or bus lines. The Jardins de la Mairie (1456 avenue Roger Salengro) are a ten-minute walk from the station.
Fête de la Musique Chaville — edition 2026
The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Chaville will take place on Saturday, June 20th, on two stages: the town hall park (Jardins de la Mairie) and the MJC de la Vallée. As every year, about ten local amateur groups will perform there for free, from the afternoon until night, with an eclectic program. The selection of musicians is underway (call for applications closed on April 17th, 2026); the detailed program will be published in spring by the City and the MJC.
Fête de la Musique 2026 in Chaville
On Saturday, June 20th, 2026, Chaville will once again celebrate the Fête de la Musique with free concerts in the town hall park and at the MJC de la Vallée. The City and the MJC de la Vallée launched a call for applications to local musicians (closed on Friday, April 17th, 2026) to create an eclectic program mixing jazz, funk, rock, pop, hip-hop, groove, and French chanson.
As in previous years, concerts will take place outdoors in the town hall park (1456 avenue Roger Salengro) and indoors on the café stage of the MJC de la Vallée (25 rue des Fontaines Marivel). Priority for selection is given to groups with at least one member from Chaville, in a spirit of civic celebration and local connection.
The detailed program (list of groups, performance times, and stage distribution) will be announced in spring 2026 by the City of Chaville and the MJC de la Vallée.
