Every June 21, Elbeuf celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians, local bands, and guest artists play for free in the city center streets and around the town hall garden. Organized by the City of Elbeuf, the evening is entirely free and open to all, from early evening until the heart of the night.
The Fête de la Musique in Elbeuf
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Elbeuf into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces to celebrate the shortest night of the year and the arrival of summer, in all genres and for all audiences.
A celebration in the heart of the city
Usually, several stages are set up in the streets of Elbeuf, with a meeting point at the town hall garden, around the bandstand, Place Aristide Briand. Local bands and guest artists perform there outdoors in a friendly atmosphere, while city center bars and cafes extend the evening.
