Free concerts in the 20 arrondissements on June 21, 2026
Every June 21, Paris experiences one of its biggest popular celebrations: the Fête de la Musique. From the Champs-Élysées to the Buttes-Chaumont, from the banks of the Seine to churches, museums, and gardens, thousands of free concerts enliven the 20 arrondissements. Organized by the City of Paris, the day blends all styles, from jazz to rap, including rock, electro, and classical.
Born in Paris in 1982, the Fête de la Musique remains an unmissable event there every June 21. The entire city transforms into an open-air stage: amateur and professional musicians play for free in the streets, squares, quays, parks, museums, churches, and institutions, from morning until the heart of the night.
In Paris, the Fête de la Musique is experienced everywhere and on all scales: large event stages (Champs-Élysées, Olympia, Auditorium de Radio France), institutional concerts (gardens of the Palais-Royal, Assemblée nationale, national museums), dances and DJ sets on the banks of the Seine, neighborhood brass bands, participatory choirs, and bar stages. Each arrondissement offers its own program, from the arenas of Quai Saint-Bernard to the viewpoint of Parc de Belleville.
All genres coexist: jazz, classical, gospel, rock, punk, chanson, electro, techno, house, rap, world music, brass band, Japanese taiko, or amapiano. Some stages host headliners and require reservation, while the vast majority of concerts remain freely accessible.
The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Paris takes place on Sunday, June 21st, from 8 AM to 1 AM, free of charge in all 20 arrondissements. From the grand stages of the Champs-Élysées and the Olympia to neighborhood concerts, passing by the banks of the Seine, museums, and churches, here is an overview of the program arrondissement by arrondissement.
