Free concerts in the city center on June 21, 2026
Every June 21, Sarreguemines celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians, local bands, and artists freely take over the pedestrian zone, Place de la République, and the terraces of city center cafes. Organized by the City of Sarreguemines, the day is entirely free and open to all, from mid-afternoon until the heart of the night.
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the center of Sarreguemines into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces: the pedestrian zone, Place de la République, and the terraces of bars and restaurants host open-air concerts of all styles, from pop to jazz, rock to rap.
Usually, a large stage is set up in Place de la République, where local bands and municipal music groups perform successively, from mid-afternoon until midnight. Saint-Nicolas Church traditionally hosts a more contemplative moment, while the city center cafes and restaurants extend the celebration onto their terraces, with DJ sets and musicians, until late into the night.
