The Faience Christmas Market in the heart of the faience city
Each year from late November to Christmas Eve, Sarreguemines, famous for its faience, hosts its Faience Christmas Market. This event has become a must-attend gathering in Eastern Moselle, attracting visitors from France, Germany, and Luxembourg to this charming border town.

The market highlights Sarreguemines' faience heritage, a city that houses the Faience Museum and perpetuates a ceramic tradition dating back to the 18th century. Local artisans display faience creations in their chalets, continuing this emblematic know-how.
The market is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. Leashed dogs are allowed. Parking is free on weekends during the market period, making access to the city center easier.
The Faience Christmas Market will return from late November to December 24, 2026, in the city center of Sarreguemines. Illuminated chalets, crafts, delicacies, and magical entertainment will be on offer. Detailed program in autumn 2026.
Sarreguemines is accessible via the A320 from Metz (1h) and the D919 from Saarbrücken (20 min) and Strasbourg (1h30). Free parking on weekends from November 22 to December 21 in the city center, a valuable advantage for visitors.
Sarreguemines station served by TER from Metz (1h10) and Strasbourg (1h40). The Christmas market is a 5-minute walk from the station, very convenient for train travelers.
