Ten free stages throughout the city on June 21, 2026
Every June 21, Schiltigheim celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival) throughout the city: from the City Hall to the Halles du Scilt, from the Marais district to church squares, public squares, streets, and courtyards are transformed into open stages. Organized by the City of Schiltigheim, the day is entirely free and blends all styles, from rock to soul, from flamenco to African music, from punk to brass band music.
Since its national creation in 1982, the Fête de la Musique has become one of the major popular summer events in Schiltigheim, at the gates of Strasbourg. On Sunday, June 21, 2026, music takes over public spaces from 3 PM: amateurs and professionals play for free in squares, church squares, and courtyards, until the evening.
The City of Schiltigheim designates about ten stages spread across the commune, complemented by concerts from participating bars and restaurants on rue Principale and Place de la Liberté. True to the original spirit of the festival — free admission, spontaneity, discovery, and diversity — the program features over thirty artists and groups, of all styles: rock, pop, punk-metal, soul, flamenco, African music, jazz, electro, and brass band music.
Among the festival locations: the City Hall square (Place Alfred Muller), the Halles du Scilt, the École des Arts, the Verger du Dinghof, the Centre Social Victor Hugo, the Marais district with its open stage for local talents, the EXEN school courtyard, and the squares of Sainte-Famille and Notre-Dame churches.
The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Schiltigheim takes place on Sunday, June 21, from 3 PM to 10 PM, free of charge throughout the city. About ten stages, officially recognized by the City, animate the commune, complemented by concerts from participating bars and restaurants.
