As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the bastide of Villeneuve-sur-Lot into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces in the heart of the Lot-et-Garonne city, from early evening until late into the night, in all styles and for all audiences.

Usually, Place Lafayette hosts the main stage of the evening, complemented by stages animated by shopkeepers and associations in the city center streets, as well as concerts by local bands and music schools.
